The American Gem Society (AGS) is an international association of quality jewelers pledged to consumer protection and dedicated to setting, maintaining, and promoting a superior standard of ethical conduct and professional behavior in the industry through education, accreditation, and recertification.

AGS members honored with the coveted title of Registered Jeweler have successfully achieved the Society’s strict standards of excellence and are recognized for their high degree of professional expertise and competence and personal integrity.

Titleholders and their retail stores are subject to annual review and must strictly adhere to business principles set down by the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and the Society’s code of ethics.
